Every year in San Fernando, the capital city of Pampanga they have a Giant Parol competition. Neighborhood helping each other build it. Here’s a video I’ve found and we would like to share it to you.
Thousands of beautiful lights and 18 feet tall parols compete every December. The winner is given the Star of Bethlehem award. It’s amazing how they make this huge lanterns with different light patterns, it’s totally mesmerizing. Enjoy, hope you like it!
Javier Hernandez presented the D.I.Y. Secrets of Self-Publishing Workshop 9/5/09
The Agimat Team attended the D.I.Y. Secrets of Self-Publishing Workshop presented by Javier Hernandez on 9/5/09 at the GEEKS comic book shop in Whittier, CA. It was a great workshop! Javier is a very nice guy, very welcoming and friendly. We’ve learned so much from the senpais. Here are some important points to remember about self-publishing:
1. Self-publishing comics is a marathon, not a 50 yd. dash - it’s not an instant thing once you make a comic that’s it! NO, you don’t stop from there, you have to be continuously creating and developing your own art. The longer you do this the better.
2. Tell the stories you want to tell, not what you think people want to read - in other words don’t be such a made-up, do what you want to do and don’t think what people wanted to read. You have to get your own stories out, and this is how you become interesting. (more…)

Here’s a rough sketch of the NinBot, a villain under Dr. Box’s power. This is taken from an iPhone and it looks fuzzy ‘cuz of the poor lighting.
